AZALEA WRAPPED BANGLE

This ribbon in shocking bougainvillea pink is ready to head anywhere this spring. We're pretty obsessed with these vintage brass bangles. The For the Makers trifecta of vintage, subtle sparkle, and a pop of color is in effect here. Layer it with a stack of metal bangles or wear it on it's own with an extra feminine bow.

TOOLS

  • scissors
  • jewelry clippers (or just a pair of old scissors if you'd like)

MATERIALS

  • rhinestone chain
  • magenta ribbon
  • vintage brass bangle

Gather your materials, a pair of scissors, and jewelry clippers. If you don’t have a pair of jewelry clippers a pair of old scissors will work as well.

Before you begin wrapping the ribbon, reserve about a foot for tying a bow a bit later.

3

Tie a very loose knot around the bangle.

4

Slide the rhinestone chain into the channel in the bangle and tighten the knot so that it’s right in between the first and second stones.

5

Holding the reserved ribbon and the rhinestone chain with one hand begin wrapping the ribbon around the bangle. You’re goal here is to cover as much of the interior of the bangle with the ribbon without obscuring the crystal stones. Scrunch the ribbon into the open space as you pull it away from you.

6

Flatten the ribbon as you pull it towards you.

7

8
